Bentley University Falcon Society

The Falcon Society was founded in 1964. Its purpose at that time was stated as being the “recognition of the scholars ... who are leaders as well and who show promise of fine future accomplishments.” This student-run society honors students who have displayed excellence in their field(s) of study and have contributed substantially to the social and cultural activities of the university. They are active, dedicated leaders who have made some special contributions to Bentley.

Professor Williams Dandes was the first adviser to the organization. In his memory his brother, Ben Dandes, established a fund to support the activities of the Falcon Society. The income from the donated monies underwrites the purchase of the Falcon Society medallions that are given to each member at the induction ceremonies that are held each year.
