The ALANA Student Advancement Program, which is better known as A.S.A.P., provides a support system for freshmen and sophomore students as they maneuver through their career here at Bentley. The focus of A.S.A.P. is on student development — both social and academic — to ensure success.
Mentees receive first-hand knowledge on the keys to making the best of their experience from Mentors, who are Juniors and Seniors. Mentors gain valuable skills while also sharpening their leadership potential.
Typically, mentees will be freshmen, and mentors will be juniors. Mentees are matched with mentors based on their perceived interests, majors, etc, and the relationship will be sustained for the following year. After completion of the mentorship program, mentees will have an opportunity to become mentors for the incoming freshmen class.

Jessica Ngo
Junior, Class of 2013
Major: Management
"As a mentor, I have an opportunity to meet the underclassmen and provide them guidance as well as share my experiences at Bentley. I love helping others develop their own self and be a resource in whatever area they need advice in!"
Lily Ann Montemayor
Class of 2012
Major: IDCC
I want to make an impact. That’s why I wanted to be a mentor. As I became one, I realized I learned a lot from my mentees that I would have never learned from my peers. That’s what makes the whole mentee-mentor bond important. I’m good friends with my mentees as well as with other mentors and mentees in the program. It’s all about making lasting relationships, learning from each other, and making a difference.

Joo Han (Frank) Hyun

Brian Luu

"Why am I a mentor: To help incoming freshman feel comfortable at Bentley. I did not have anyone to mentor me and wanted to give back to a wonderful school with so many opportunities. Also, I wanted to help out the minority students that may not be as financially sound as other students on campus. ALANA helped me make friends so I wanted to do the same for somebody else!"

Victoria Fennell

Simon Ly

Ravi Patel
