Workshops and Retreats

Bentley offers many opportunities for faculty, staff and students to learn more about diversity issues. The retreats and workshops described below are presented on a regular basis or may be requested by a department or office. Many other one-time events are widely advertised to members of the Bentley community.

Bentley University Diversity Retreat
An introductory two-day off-site workshop available to all members of the faculty and staff, the retreat focuses on issues of nationality, race, gender, sexual orientation and gender identity.

Ally Workshop
Two- to three-hour workshops that introduce participants to being an “ally” on sexual orientation and gender identity issues at Bentley. Available to faculty, staff and students.

(dis)Ability Awareness Workshop
Offered jointly with the Office for Disability Services, this workshop stimulates discussion of issues relating to both “visible” and “invisible” disabilities facing members of the Bentley community. Available to faculty, staff and students.

Dealing with Diversity Day-to-Day
A follow-up to the diversity retreat, this workshop addresses the challenges and opportunities related to diversity that we face on the Bentley campus during our daily activities as faculty and staff members. Available by request to departments and offices.
